The Winter 2010 issue of Boulder County Home & Garden magazine is now available. As mentioned in my earlier post, this issue features my article on residential landscape design and covers topics such as the design process, creating outdoor rooms, and selecting materials and colors. It should be helpful for landscape do-it-yourselfers who aren’t quite sure where to begin. A pdf copy of the article is available here. There’s a nice big picture of my hand on the first page of the article. I probably should have gotten a manicure.

There’s not a lot of variety when it comes to teak outdoor furniture, particularly if you are looking for something a little more elegant and classic. Summer Classics Fine Outdoor Furnishings Yacht series really caught my eye. The pieces have nice soft lines and integrate turned front legs for a bit of classic detail. The slightly nautical theme would make these a great choice for the pool side. The brass hardware on the recliners is a nice touch as well. Summer Classics is available in the Denver area at Terrace Views.

The issue has been out for a while but I wanted to mention that the bridge, highway monument and Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra in Loveland, Colorado are featured in the March issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News. Once again, the cover and article feature the beautiful photography of Robb Williamson at Williamson Images. If you haven’t experienced the sculpture park it’s definitely worth visiting. I’ll be writing a post about the Chapungu story soon, so be sure check back.
